“A celebration of the perseverance, education and cultural heritage of Africans, African Americans and Caribbean people of African descent.”
Priority Partners will once again be in attendance for this year’s annual Kunta Kinte Heritage Festival in Annapolis, Maryland, on Sept. 14. For 34 years, this one-day, one-of-a-kind event has attracted thousands of visitors and families to celebrate the music, food and arts of African American and Afro-Caribbean culture.
Join Priority Partners for the final session of our crowd-pleasing Healthy Hacks cooking demonstrations. Part of the Priority Partners Cupboards Project, the Healthy Hacks program provides free, live cooking demonstrations that show people how they can cook easy, healthy AND affordable meals. Be there for a lively cooking demonstration by Chef Giacomo Scuito of Giacomo’s Brick Oven Pizza, who will be handing out free cookbooks to attendees as well as serving up lots of easy-to-follow tricks and tips on ways to prepare simple, healthy meals.
Priority Partners will be attending the all-day event to present the cooking demonstration and provide visitors with health resources and Medicaid renewal support. Enjoy opportunities to meet with community health professionals, get flu shots and health screenings, and enjoy refreshments, raffles and more. Be sure to drop by the Priority Partners table to talk with health plan representatives, receive free blood pressure checks and health resources and get help with help with Medicaid renewal.
