Comenzamos la temporada con dos eventos de cocina gratuitos organizados muy juntos. La primera fue en la Biblioteca P\u00fablica de New Carrollton el 10 de febrero. Dos d\u00edas despu\u00e9s, el 12 de febrero, nos dirigimos a la escuela primaria Weller Road en Silver Spring. Ambos eventos ofrecieron a las familias una divertida demostraci\u00f3n presencial sobre c\u00f3mo cocinar comidas saludables sin gastar una fortuna.    <\/p>\n\n<p>El chef Giacomo Scuito volvi\u00f3 por su tercer a\u00f1o como nuestro chef destacado. Profesor de historia del condado de Montgomery, el chef Scuito sabe c\u00f3mo mantener las cosas simples y divertidas. Prepar\u00f3 un plato sabroso llamado Fettucine Cremoso de Calabac\u00edn, y el olor a ajo fresco y albahaca ten\u00eda hambre a todos antes del primer bocado. En el camino, comparti\u00f3 consejos f\u00e1ciles de seguir sobre cocina saludable que cualquiera puede probar en casa.   <\/p>\n\n<p>Junto con muestras del plato, los invitados recibieron una copia gratuita del libro de cocina Good and Cheap, lleno de recetas saludables y econ\u00f3micas que las familias pueden preparar por s\u00ed mismas.
