About Me
- I was born on Bear Island, Maryland.
- I was rescued as a cub from the Potomac River by hikers.
- I was raised by a friendly beekeeper in Wicomico County.
- Favorite things:

- Cooking healthy meals
- Dancing
- Giving high-fives
- Favorite food: Honeydew melon
- Favorite colors: Purple and teal
Cubby’s Safe Summer Pledge
This summer, Cubby is asking all his friends to make a promise — to be safe, smart and kind at the pool, the lake or anywhere you swim!
Water Safety Tips:
- Always swim with a buddy and never swim alone.
- Listen to lifeguards and follow pool rules.
- Walk — never run — on pool decks and wet surfaces.
- Keep my hands to myself — no pushing, roughhousing or dunking others.
- Wait my turn on the slide and keep a safe distance from the person ahead on the ladder.
- Take rest breaks, especially on hot days.
- Drink water before, during and after swimming to stay hydrated.
- Reapply sunscreen after getting out of the water.
- Get out of the water right away when thunder or lightning appears.
- Tell a grown-up immediately if someone is in trouble in the water.
